Meeting with local Walmart General Manager

In response to her complaint, Heather and I are meeting with Walmart (Meridian) General Manager tomorrow. We're looking forward to getting some answers regarding policies and how we've been treated. I think it's going to be a great opportunity to get some straight talk. I've got a list started of things I want to ask, but I wanted to open the floor to any of the rest of our readers. Is there anything you'd like to know about the policies of this Meridian Walmart location? Heather or I will certainly be posting all that we learn! Don't hold your breath though, it's going to take a lot for me to ever want to patronize that store again. I'm an Albertsons girl.

Will you ask them to print what you've discussed and SIGN it so that we can pass around copies to keep with us? That would be awesome! There employees are never on the same page! I WANT IT IN INK! SIGNED WITH THEIR BLOOD! ;)

I will ask, but I think their corporate policy says you have to choose one. ??

P.S. Alison (a fellow follower) just got a call from the Cole/Overland Walmart about her complaints. THIS manager said they do accept competitors coupons and IPS. (We need to get that one signed too!) GO ALISON! ;)

I also got a call back from Walmart and I was told (by Lisa--a manager for the Overland store??--) they would accept both manufacturer's and competitor's coupon for the same item. But then their official policy says "one coupon per item", so I don't know which to believe. So yes, please check on that for us. Thanks!

Let's face it. Walmart stinks. Before couponing, I shopped their all the time... I put up with the smell, the long lines, the annoying obnoxious voices yelling into the store wide speaker, the (other peoples) screaming kids and those horrible mean mommies, and the awful produce to save money. Now my eyes have been opened and I have found I can save more money by NOT shopping there! Let's admit it, you always buy more than what you went for.

Good luck with your meeting. I only went to Walmart once last month, and that is only because of a stupid $100 in free groceries loyalty program thing I am on, and mistakenly chose Walfart, oops, I mean Walmart. This is so long, I should make a post about it!

Can't wait to hear the results of your meeting!

Either Joanie or I will post... basically the one word I would use to describe the meeting. Clueless. As in the manager at meridian is totally coupon illiterate.

I agree, I am an Albertsons girl too. Their stores are always clean, and I love that they always ask me if I need help with my groceries. I am healthy and always say no, but there may come a day when I do need help! Their parking lots are free from carts and their people are hard workers! Walmart workers seem to have the mentality of K-Mart workers... if I ask them a questions, they ask 2-3 other people who also don't know anything about their store. Albertsons people know which aisle everything is on! They are intelligent and they work hard! You can always see about 5 Walmart people in one visit who are doing "nothing" but walking around not knowing what they are doing.
