$1 Makeup!!!

Hey KCL Readers, there is an EMAIL HOAX going around about ELF cosmetics and how they're being bought out by Nordstrom's or Bloomingdales and the products are now clearanced to $1. The truth is, that ELF cosmetics are always that price and are not affiliated with either of those stores. I'm reading reviews of the brand and some say they are impressed with the products. So it still my be a good deal, especially with the codes from Christy. Thanks everybody. We still love you Christy! -Joanie

Makeup fans unite! The makeup line ELF (Eyes.Lips.Face) sells products for $1.00! You do have to pay shipping ($6.95) But there are a few coupon codes that help you out. Enter the word CAROLINA when you spend $15.00 or more, and they will deduct 50% ($7.50) from your total which is practically free shipping. OR if you spend $25 you can enter FREEBRUSH and get a nice set of professional makeup brushes for free.
I tried, but they wont let you use both discount codes so you'll have to choose!

They have everything - mineral foundation, mascara, eyeliner, lip glosses, nail polish, tools, brushes, eye shadow, lip liner - pretty much EVERYTHING IS $1.00. I just spent $30 but I got heaps of stuff - and I do mean HEAPS.

Go here and shop your heart out!

I heard about this too about a year ago. Truth is, they aren't being bought by Nordstroms or Bloomingdales. They are always $1 and you can find some of their stuff at Big Lots. Here is a link...http://cosmetricks.wordpress.com/2008/03/05/eyes-lips-face-elf-scame/

I heard about this last year too, but the stuff was $1 then as well.

I just ordered makeup yesterday and they are already shipping out my order. I also used a code to get 50% off one item and it took it off my $3 item. (my most expensive one) Even with shipping it is still cheaper to buy makeup here than anywhere else. I have ordered their brushes before and really like them so I hope I like everything else.

I too fell for this one last year! I was so excited! I bought tons of makeup! But it wasn't the quality I expected. Still 1 for any makeup isn't bad! ;)

♥ I never heard the thing about them being bought out but I have bought from them maybe 4 times and each time I've had good like with them. The first time it took awile because it was a really good sale but the other 3 times they were really fast. The only disadvantage is that it hard to determine what the "true" colors are. However it's cheap enough that it's not too big of a deal and you know for next time. :)

This makeup is great, and I've been using it ever since it came out a couple of years ago and it's been a dollar ever since then! :-) Probably not quite as good as Mac, but better than the grocery store stuff, and you can't beat a dollar!

i've really liked the nail polish from there..(plus the bottles look really fun!) the lipglosses are okay and the eyeliners broke really fast and the mascara dried up. but hey, for a buck--its pretty good..

Hey gals - I remembered reading this a while back and just noticed on my Kmart run today (March 25th) that KMart carries several ELF products for $1 too, in case you'd rather buy it in person. It's on the back end cap of a cosmetic aisle. I bought a few lip glosses to try because I'm not much for lipstick.
