FREE Printer Paper

Okay first, thanks to reader Rachel who emailed us asking where she could get cheap printer paper. Also, a huge thanks to The Thrifty Mama for all the information!!

Okay- first Staples takes their competitors coupons- so go HERE to print this $10/50 Office Depot Coupon

Next- Staples has printer paper (that is in their old packaging, see picture below) for $6.99/ream. BUT you can earn $5.99 back in rebates... with NO LIMIT!!! So it's $1 after rebate. See rebate information HERE (search for SKU 554638).

**Scenario** (courtesy of The Thrifty Mama)

Buy 8 packages at $6.99 each = $55.92
Use the $10/50 Office Depot Coupon = $45.92 before taxes
Earn back $47.92 in rebates! = FREE + overage to cover some of your tax.

I hate rebates, but I am thinking this is too good of a deal to pass up!

Hurry in the printable coupon expires 4/6/09

Great find! Now I won't have to worry as much about how much all these printable coupons are costing me! Between the free paper from Staples, and the Free ink cartridge refill at Walgreen's this week, I'm not wasting a thing!

Do you have to purchase each ream separately or can you buy all 8 at once. I looked at the rebate form and it reads as though you have to use a separate rebate form for each ream purchased. What do you think?

Since I haven't done this yet- it is hard to say but it looks like if you submit the rebate online you will be okay, also some people are reporting that they have to buy 10 instead of 8 so that there total is more than the rebate amount with the office depot coupon

I went to Staples on Eagle/Chinden and didn't find the reams for 6.99-it looked like this same paper was selling for 8.99. The manager cut me a deal on some other paper, since I was unable to find the specific one I was looking for. Still... free paper would have been nice.

Do you know the source of this coupon? It says no reproductions accepted and I can't find this on Office Depot's website. I just don't want a juice repeat on my conscience:)

I went out to the Nampa Staples this afternoon (4/4) and they still had quite a few reams left. I didn't even buy them all! I bought 8 at once and used the Office Depot $10.00 off $50.00. My total came to $47 and some change. I got home and promptly did the easy rebate online and I will be getting my rebate of $47.92 in 4-6 weeks. I had to spend a little extra gas money to get to Nampa but 8 reams of free paper is so worth it!

My hubby went to Staples yesterday (one by the mall). They had the paper but the mang. wouldn't let him use the coupon in addition to the rebate-because they would be paying us to take the paper-but still $1 a ream is great.

Missy- Southern Savers is who Thrifty Mama found this coupon from, and she said in a comment on her post that the coupon is accessible from the OD website. I didn't take the time to find it myself though.... Hope this helps! :)

I have called all three Staples stores--Nampa, Boise/Meridian, and Boise (by the mall), and they say they are officially OUT of the paper. I was also told that they don't expect to get more in, because this was an older product they were trying to clear out to make room for new product to come in. HTH!

Emily C. tell me more about the ink at Walgreens. I missed that one. I am needing ink.

Bambi--
This week at Walgreen's, ink cartridge refilling is 7.50 (sale price is for black or color, regularly priced at $10 for black and $15 for color). You take your cartridge to the photo counter and they refill it as you shop. Then, after you've payed you can submit online for a rebate of 7.50 in the April EasySaver catalog. If you've never done this before, it's very easy--you just register for the rebate program at walgreens.com and then add and save your receipt in the EasySaver Rebate online form. Then at the end of the month you submit your claim for all your rebates, and they will add on 10% of your rebate amount just for submitting it online! The first time you do this it will take about a month to get your rebate money (in the form of a gift card) in the mail. After that, they just automatically add your rebates for following months electronically to your card. Sadly, we are hearing rumors that this month may be the last for the EasySaver rebate program, as they may be discontinuing it--but don't let that stop you! You will still get your money for all rebates you submit this month! Good luck!
