Did I miss something?? I didn't find any doublers in my Press Tribune this week -- were there some??

Cynthia said...

i believe it should have been page 12 in the main section of the press tribune yes there was also 3 of them.

Katie said...

Yes on page 12..I couldn't find them at first either!

Coupon Crazies said...

What zip code is the milk coupon in?

Rachel said...

Found 'em!! Thanks so much, ladies!

Rachel said...

Just a heads up -- the Honey Nut Cheerios are NOT part of the General Mills promo, st least, not at the Albies on 12th in Nampa. They would only allow the regular Cheerios.

Joanie Demer said...

Coupon Crazie,
The milk coupon is valid only in ID and UT. Should be available to any zip code in those states.

Has anyone tried the general mills promo. Is the $4 taken off automatically? And can I get any combination of milk, bread, or eggs up to that amount (like 2 gallons of milk?)

Brandi said...

I can't find the C&H Coupon on the IP link...anyone know where it's hiding?

I did the general mills promo - $4 was taken off instantly. I did the eggs/bread/milk - but am now wondering the same thing? Could I just do the eggs and milk, or just get the $4 off without having to get the eggs/bread/milk? anyone else do it?

I can not find the cheese coupon on the IP link; anyone have advice for how to find it?

Just got back from the Albies at Fairview/Cole -- they would not let me do the candy bar thing. I bought 8 candy bars...had (2) $1 off 2 and (2) doublers...she said it wouldn't work because it was negative...I told her she needed to adjust it to the 2/88 price...she said they have to double the exact amount - the $1...I told her forget it...she said she could do half the order -- and charge me 56-cents!! ugh....

The Barkers said...

I did the candy bar transaction just fine. They just adjusted the doubler down (like they did with my cream of mushroom soup cans)though do remember that they can't adjust the coupon, just the doubler. I think I said that correct! The Albertsons on five mile and overland is always nice about that!

Dondillissa said...

You may want to double check the cheese scenario - I believe the price given is for 32 oz, not 64.

Each 8 oz. cheese is 3.99, then get one free. So for 1 lb. it would be 3.99. For two pounds it would be 7.98 - then subtract $2 (doubling the $1 off) and you get 5.98 for 32 oz.

I wasn't sure how the milk/bread/egg thing was going to work.I thought it would be a catalina. At the end of the transaction, it automatically took $4 off. I think you could just do milk or eggs, or bread and milk. It takes off the $4 no matter what.

Ryan and Carrie said...

Does anyone know do you have to spend the discount price (the 30% off) or the regular price to reach $10? I wasn't sure if I should go off the $3 off price or where it says individual price to reach my $10! Like the first section is $.70 or indiv. $1.00 which one should I add up to get my $10?? Thanks!!

Terry said...

The prices add up at normal price and then the discount is taken off - so, you pick 10 items on the .70 cent promo, once the ten ring up - the discount is taken and they ring up at .70 cents each.

right? :-) I'm new to all this, but that's how I understand it.

Terry said...

sorry, my answer was confusing - go off the dollar price to reach your total.

I was told by the Albertson's by the collage in Caldwell that with the milk promo it will automatically take off the $4.00 but the checkers will be making sure that all three products are purchased. So, I wouldn't try to just do two of the items instead of the three you are supposed to buy. I think that it is probably best just to play by the rules so that they will continue to provide us with deals like this.

The Barker Clan said...

I did the GM promo last night. I did use the $4 to buy milk, bread and eggs. I also used my milk coupon and the bread coupon from the Roma bread. By using the milk and bread coupons, plus your doublers, your able to buy all three items (milk, bread, and eggs) for less than the $4 and they still credit you all $4. Hopefully that makes sense!

Michelle in Boise said...

RE: $10 promo - - has to add up to the 10 BEFORE the $3 if it's by 4 things for $2.50, you have to buy the 4 things...and then they take $3 off

RE: Milk, eggs, bread - - I did this TWICE and one time I got (2) $2 loaves of bread...and the other time I did some milk and you don't have to do all 3 -- it comes off automatically.

Amy said...

I have done the General Mills promo 3 times this last week. I didn't get any milk or eggs, only bread, and the $4 came off without a problem.

FYI, Last week I went to the Albertson's at Cole and Fairview and tried to use a doubler on a 2.50 coupon the checker told me they couldn't do it. I explained to her that I understood they couldn't do the 2.50 and just to do it for 1.00 but she got all nasty and told me that Albertsons policy says they are not allowed to double those kind of coupons. I asked her since when and she said it was stemming from a meeting they had 1 month prior. Let's just say I left all my groceries at the register and left. I headed to the Albertson's on Ustick/Five Mile and they were more than happy to accept all my coupons.

Brandi said...

I was just at the Albies on Parkcenter and they have coupon flyers with 2 doublers and several other coupons just sitting on the self checkout "checker" station. I grabbed several...WOO HOO!!!

Kylie said...

Nina, my fav checker at my Albies in Spanish Fork, UT told me a few weeks ago that they are not going to double ANY coupons over $1. So if the coupon is for $1.50, regardless of the price of the product, it is not eligible for doubling. They can't double a $1.50 coupon, even if the adjust the "double" down to $1. They will only double coupons that are originally $1 and under. Hope that makes sense.

She told me that it is policy now, and they are making sure that all their regular couponers know. I was flattered that she counted me in that group! ;)

Michelle in Boise said...

NINA - that's been the policy for a while now...if the coupon is over $1, no dice....they won't adjust down. The verbiage is on the coupon. So stick to the $1 or less ones ;)

Kristi M. said...

Nina, that has been the policy for some time and that is how I understood it, that anything over $1 is not doubled. The doublers even state that. Why question it. I kind of got a nasty vibe from your post here. Just play fair and try not to bend the rules by heading to another Albertsons.

Bernies said...

I bought four boxes of the Whole Fruit bars and they rang up for $10 (4 for $10). I thought that the $3 would instantly come off, but they didn't. I let the cashier charge me because there was a line behind me, but I don't think this was right. Shouldn't I have gotten that $3 off? Please help!!!

Terry said...

Bernies - dont feel bad - I did the Dr pepper deal again, saw my catalina print off and got home and realized the checker didnt give it to me. I was frazzled as I had a $5 off purchase of $50 coupon and I was $6 short (didnt understand why) had a big line and just needed to get going....ugh....

Terry said...

and yes, you should've gotten $3 off, you can probably take your receipt in to customer service and get if fixed - I bought some of the whole fruit bars as part of the promo as well (combined with other things)

rattriffic said...

hey on the candy bar deal there is a 22cent overage the cashier I went to at 36th and state told me to grab two more candy bars since I had 5 coupons that way I could use the whole value of the coupon or she would only be able to do the coupons for I got two extra wooo hooo chocolate!

rattriffic said...

***NINA**** and everyone

just so you know all the checkers were forced to sign documents stating they would follow the policies for the doublers and in it, it included doubling coupons $1.01 or more they are not to double them, not even take a dollar off. anyone doing that is jeopardizing their job ( i guess their choice) I am good friends with a upper management person at albies so its from the horses mouth :-) just didn't think we should encourage being mean to one checker for following the rules and nice to one that breaks them, it states right on the coupon nothing over 1.00 :-)

Just a Hint!!, There are (3)Twice the Value Coupons in the Wed. flyer, they Have numbers 1-2-3 on them.

The Hendricks ID said...

that has happened to me several times and I have 3 kids four and under so I don't usually stand in line right then, unless we haven't gotten cookies at the bakery yet.
Anyway they always refund my money back, they are really good at any albertsons I have been to if it is an advertsied thing and it didn't come off.

The Tony's Pizza deal actually winds up being 1.50 per pizza after your coupon and doubler not .75 like the post indicates . May or may not be a big deal for some folks but it always messes me up when I get to the store and it rings up different than I thought it should :)

Terry said...

combine the $1/2 Tony's pizza, $1/1 international delight coffee creamer, and the $1/1 smart balance mayo - and use a doubler on one - they come out to .75 cents each (part of the 4/10 promo/$3 off) - or you could use two doublers....for .50 cents each :)
