Sorry, but just a question, wouldn't you be able to get 4 boxes of cereal? You buy the 2 with the $1.50 & .50 coupons, and then you would get 2 more free- Am I understanding it right?

Great question Kim!

This scenario assumes that your store will allow you to use a manufacturer coupon for the first cereal box AND the "free" cereal box. Target should (although often will not) allow this. You are still buying the 2nd cereal at $2.66, but the Target store coupon will make it free by taking off $2.66. You should be allowed one manufacturer and one store coupon per item. For this reason, you may not use a $0.50/1 Target coupon on this 2nd box of cereal, but you can (if your store allows) use the manufacturer coupon for an additional $1.50 off.

Many stores do not fully understand this policy and Target corporate policy has not specifically addressed the issue of using a manufacturer coupon on a "free" item. So you'll have to see what your store says. Don't pitch a big fit everybody! If they don't allow it, just remember you'll only be paying $0.33/box. But please, calmly explain to Target management your understanding of the coupon reimbursement process and ask them to bring up the issue (using a manufacturer and store coupon on one item, even when the item is "free")with their supervisor or regional manager sometime. Can't hurt!

The Target coupons say 1 coupon per transaction - are you able to use (2) of the .25 coupons for the waffles or did you do two separate transactions?

Joanie Demer said...

Another great question Megan!

Target store coupons do limit one per transaction, but this rule is usually NOT enforced. If your store wishes to enforce the one per transaction rule, it won't affect your savings on the waffles (which, by the way, are rumored to be on sale at some locations for as low as $1.99!!)

Just do two separate transactions. Buy one waffle, give one store and one manufacturer coupon then pay. (lather, rinse, repeat. . . :)

Target Coupon Policy does allow the use of one store and one manufacturer coupon together "unless either coupon prohibits it". But store managers have never restricted me here. If you'd like to look further into the matter, check out the post:

There's a phone number you can call to ask any more specific questions. Target has great corporate customer service!

I just wanted to compliment you on your quick response to questions.

I wish I was always quick to respond. Some days I've got my A game going, and others. . . not so much. I am grateful for good questions and I'm grateful for all of you readers that often help each other out and answer questions for one another! Thanks for the encouragement!

Ok, I am usually a little quicker when it comes to these deals. I can't figure this out, mostly because I have no idea where you found a FREE Kashi Cereal Target Coupon?! Please help, thanks.

I found the free Kashi cereal coupon here...

The Kashi site will only let me print one of the $1.50 coupons. How do you get around that?

I actually called Target corporate once to ask them about the wording of 1 per transaction and the lady told me several times that that means 1 per item. Whether or not your local store knows that is another thing. Mine does and would let you use 2 Target coupons for the 2 boxes of Kashi! This is a great deal you worked out, thanks!

Joanie said...

I was able to use my back browser to print two. Darn! I hope you can get it to work for you!!

Thanks for your comment about the Target "per transaction" policy!

I registered on the Kashi website to get the cereal coupon, but I can't find where to go to print it. The only thing I saw was that they would mail you a coupon. Please help!

one more question, I have previously signed up at the Kashi site, can I still get the coupon, I can't figure out how to do that.

haha! I beat the KCL.

I had some peelies that I got off of cereal several weeks ago. I had used up my $1.50 waffle coupons a while back but had 2 $1.00 off frozen items and 2 $1.00 off crackers from the 2 peelies.

Grand total: $3.64!!

When I click on the Kashi waffle coupon it tells me it's not available. Is anybody else experiencing this or am I doing something wrong?

Joanie Demer said...

it's hard for me to tell you because my computer says "there are no prints available for this campaign", but that is because I already printed to my limit. Anyone else unable to print? I'm sure it's possible that the print limit nationwide has been reached. . .
