That is such a great idea! I'd love to see spreadsheets for future promos too (hint, hint!). I would love two columns for quantity - one for planning, and one for actual for when you get to the store and they're out of something you want, and you have to substitute (sorry about the really long run-on sentence!).

Organization is key!!! Also have a back up plan and don't panic if something is not available. Make something else work it's part of the game!!! Last 2 nights were amazing with 7 doublers. I bought 52 items (peanut butter, 128 loads of laundry soup, milk, etc.) and would have spent $207.00 but thank goodness for the LUCKY '7' I actually walked away with $3.00 profit!! It was amazing. Made some great friends also! Have fun and Save BIG!

The Nampa Greenhurst Albertsons just sent out an e-mail:

They just got in 180 lotions, 900 of the 500 ct. Q-tips, and about 30 cases of the professional suave shampoo.

Tonight they will be getting in All-324ea cereal- 1400 ea
Ragu - 540 ea

Just thought you all might want to know!

Joanie, I am wondering how many transactions everyone is doing on this promo? I want to get a good deal, but I'm wondering if i am overdoing it. I have done 4 transactions so far.

Camille said...

I think I did about 10 transactions total... but I paid $60 for $370 worth of stuff!

me again,
Thanks for the specific info!
AmyandBob, it all depends on your family. Just watch your expiration dates and don't buy more than your family can use in that time period. I must have done 15+ transactions the first time I shopped this sale. I still have shampoo and toiletries and my family goes through tons of cereal. Pre-order what you can, and don't buy more than you can use. Other than that, build your stockpile girl!

Are all the Albertsons doing the All and the things at the bottom of the page? Also are the Q-tips and those items with the unilever promo just included with the GM or separate?

Terry said...

I think I've done this one about 5 times now, and I have been checking expiration dates - we've got lots of brownies to eat ;-)

I used this spreadsheet today and it was so helpful! Thanks again.

worried about 5 transaction?? I think between the pg&e sale the unileaver and the general mills sales and the bogo meat sales I have done about 15 transactions and am waiting for the order to get here so I can pick up some more probably 10 more transactions if you use it and it wont expire ie...soap, lotion, q-tips, paper towels, t.p ets I say fill the pantries!! :-)

I go to the Albertsons website and print up my shopping list. This tells describes the item and the cost of ezch item. When I print it I use a yellow highlighter pen on those with coupons and put a BIG D next to the ones that I plan to use a DOUBLE coupon with. By building my list from the website there isnt any question for anyone as to the right size or price for each item. I love to be krazy...like a fox.. when I save!

Anyone know how long this promo lasts? This spreadsheets helps a BUNCH, but didn't want to get hooked on it if the promo is over tomorrow...

Joanie Demer said...

Krissi,
The promo goes through Tuesday next week.

Joy said...

this is my first time trying this- can someone tell me where to find the doublers? (Sp?)

Krissi said...

Joy,
You can find some doublers in the Albertson's ad of the Sunday paper. Others may be at the Customer Service desk @ Albertson's. Look above the bar code for a number (1 or 2 or 3). You can only use 1 doubler with the number 1 on it for each transaction, 1 doubler with the number 2 on it for each transaction, etc. You can use 3 doublers, if they each have a different number on them. Does that make sense? Also, the doublers are worth up to $1.

Thank you for the great spreadsheet - I headed out tonight (late I know) and was sad to find that my plan didn't work (they were out of key elements on my "to buy" list) - So trying to adjust on the fly, I wound up short - 2 boxes of cereal. The very nice lady behind me came to my rescue - offering up 2 Honey Nut Cheerios coupons as I ran off to pick up two more boxes. I feel like I've been adopted by an awesome family! Thank you to everyone who's helped.

PS. I know my savings wasn't great - I spent 14.56 out of pocket but I got $15 back in catalina coupons! Its hard to argue with that kind of savings!!!

This was amazingly helpful to me last week. Incidentally, a friend of mine also found it helpful and she got $315 worth of food for $64. I featured her finds in my post today and she was sure to reference this spreadsheet as a help to her trip. Here's my post where you got the shout out:
